Comments by Professor Tomohiro Shibata

I am honored to be selected as the first Asian judge for the Garmin Health Awards, and I would like to share this joy with you.

As a pioneer in wearable technology, Garmin is renowned for its advanced smartwatches with health monitoring and fitness features, and this award recognizes the most innovative solutions and projects.

The awards are divided into three categories: Healthcare & Research, Insurance & Employee Health Promotion, and Fitness & Wellness. Shibata and Inoue labs (presented by Dr. Victorino of Shibata lab) won in the Healthcare category last year. (For more information, click here.)

I am very excited about this opportunity to meet innovative and unique projects from around the world and to network with a diverse range of industry professionals.
