Kyutech Welcomes the Delegations from the Philippines

 The honorable delegations from the Department of Science and Technology, the Republic of the Philippines (DOST) and the University of Philippines Diliman (UPD) visited Kyutech on August 9th, 2018.

 Kyutech President and Vice President received the courtesy call for a meeting with Dr. Rowena Cristina L. Guevara, an Undersecretary for Research and Development of DOST, Dr. Josette T. Biyo, Director of Science Education Institute, Engr. Ermie M. Bacarra, Chief Science Research Specialist, Dr. Fidel R. Nemenzo, Vice Chancellor for Research and Development of UPD, and Dr. Marc Caesar R. Talampas, PHL-Microsat Project Leader and Associate Professor of UPD. The Meeting has given a fruitful discussion on some ideas to foster and enhance the partnership between Kyutech, DOST, and UPD.

 The delegations also visited Laboratory of Spacecraft Environment Interaction Engineering and enjoyed the presentations from 2 international students from Philippines about how they are working on the BIRDS-2 Project, a multi-national cube satellite development student project, which UPD is one of the participating partner university and DOST is sponsoring the students from the Philippines.

 This visit has brought a new opportunity not only to strengthen the collaborations on Space Engineering but also to expand the cooperation in other academic domains between Kyutech, DOST, and UPD.
