Kyutech, Muroran IT and KMOU holds a joint seminar on Civil Engineering

The 12th KMK Joint seminar on Civil Engineering organized by Kyutech, Muroran Institute of Technology (Muroran IT) and Korean Maritime Ocean University (KMOU) was held on August 22 and 23 of 2016, at Muroran IT in Hokkaido, Japan, with 32 participants from the three institutions. This seminar focuses on the recent topics on Civil Engineering, such as Structural Engineering, Fracture Mechanics, Wind Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Urban Planning, Hydrology, Hydraulic Engineering, Earthquakes Engineering, Material Engineering.
The participant professors gave keynote lectures and the students made oral presentations in front of the audience. In the oral sessions on August 22, all participant students from KMOU, Muroran IT, and Kyutech made excellent presentations on their research in English. The participants also joined the technical tour on August 23 and visited the construction site of the Hokkaido Shinkansen and the Toyako Volcano Science Museum.
