The Graduate School of Life Science and Systems Engineering (Wakamatsu Campus), located in the Kitakyushu Science and Research Park, held a Tanabata event in the first-floor lobby from mid-June to July 7, 2026.

Both Japanese and international students participated by writing their wishes on tanzaku paper strips and hanging them on the bamboo decorations.

The event was a great success, and all the tanzaku we had prepared including the extra ones were hung on the bamboo.

Wakamatsu Campus will continue to organize seasonal events and activities that encourage interaction and cultural exchange between Japanese and international students, researchers, faculty and staff.
