Courtesy Visit by the President and Delegation from Lunghwa University of Science and Technology

On May 11, 2026, a four-member delegation from Lunghwa University of Science and Technology, including President Tzu-Hsiang Ko, visited the Tobata Campus of Kyushu Institute of Technology.
Representing Kyushu Institute of Technology were President Takuo Yasunaga; Executive Director for Research Hiroshi Sakamoto; Professor Keisuke Suzuki of the Department of Intelligent and Control Systems,
Faculty of Computer Science and Systems Engineering; Professor Hiroshi Kawano and Professor Ichiro Omura of the Graduate School of Life Science and Systems Engineering;
and Vice President (for office of International Strategic Partnerships and Advanced Research Headquarters) Tohru Kamiya.
The participants engaged in active discussions and exchanged views on future collaboration.

During the visit, the delegation introduced the university’s diverse academic programs, English-medium education initiatives, short-term study abroad programs lasting one to two weeks,
and educational efforts in the semiconductor field. In response, Kyutech presented its own educational and research activities, leading to productive discussions on potential future collaboration
based on the strengths of both institutions. Professors Omura and Kawano also provided an introduction to the Ultra-Wide Bandgap Power Electronics Research Center.

Both universities confirmed their intention to further strengthen faculty collaboration in related fields and contribute to the advancement of education and research.
