The 13th Joint Student Workshop of Yangzhou University, Kyushu Institute of Technology and National Institute of Technology, Kitakyushu College

The 13th Joint Student Workshop of Yangzhou University (China), Kyushu Institute of Technology (Kyutech) and National Institute of Technology, Kitakyushu College (Kosen) was held at Tobata Campus on March 24, 2024.

This year's 13th Student Workshop was co-hosted by Yangzhou University and Kyutech, one of our major exchange partners. The workshop is held every 2 years in Japan and China, and this year was the first time in 4 years that the two universities met face-to-face due to the spread of the new coronavirus.

Professor Han Jie, Vice President of Yangzhou University, and Professor WANG Chengyin of College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering led the delegation from Yangzhou University to Kyutech. A total of 30 students participated, 9 from Yangzhou University, 15 from Kyutech, and 6 from Kosen, and engaged in active exchanges among themselves.

At the opening ceremony, Prof. Seiichi Serikawa, Dean of Faculty of Engineering, and Vice President Han Jie reviewed the history of exchange between Yangzhou University and Kyutech and stated that the experience of cooperation and friendship built up over the past 17 years through the efforts of both sides will be further developed in the future. The workshop was the first face-to-face lecture in a long time, and many research presentations were made, making it an informative time.
