Kyutech Master course student received Excellent Presentation Award at the 54th Annual Meeting of the Color Science Association of Japan 2023

Update:2023.09.26

At the 54th Annual Meeting of the Color Science Association of Japan 2023 held at Tokyo Zokei University from June 24th to 25th, 2023, Ms.Atsumi Ushijima (2nd year master's student in the Department of Human Intelligence Systems, Graduate School of Life Science and Systems Engineering) received the excellent presentation award.

The paper focused on intersensory correspondence between audio and visual perception as one of the mechanisms of cross-modal perception and reported the experimental results that correlated the sounds of voice with colors. This research result suggests that intersensory correspondence between audiovisual perception may exist even in non-chromesthesia people (chromesthesia: sound-to-color synesthesia that allows them to feel colors by sound stimulation). It is expected to be used in designing interfaces and products that utilize cross-modal perception.
