Kyutech has organized the Emergency Headquarters and been working to prevent the expansion of COVID-19 infection.
In accordance with the current situation that COVID-19 infection and suspected cases are rapidly increasing all over Japan, Kyutech determined to extend the duration for the policy on the events hosted by itself to be cancelled, postponed or scaled back.
All students, faculty and staff are requested to follow the policy.
Policy until 19 April
〇Until 19 April, events and gatherings hosted by the University are requested to be cancelled or postponed.
However, orientations and classes will be implemented with cautious preventive measures to the infection.
If it is difficult or inappropriate to cancel or postpone, consult the University for a consideration.
〇Until 19 April, training camps, away games/matches (including on-campus games/matches with invited opponents from outside the University), concerts, live shows, events are requested to be cancelled or postponed. However, extracurricular activities on campus such as trainings and meetings are allowed to be held.
Accordingly, Choyo Sansou (off-campus training facility) will be closed until 19 April.
If it is difficult or inappropriate to cancel or postpone, consult the University for a consideration.
〇In case that events are held, it is requested to take measures as follows.
(1) Hosts, facilitators, and representatives should request 4 things below to all the participants.
- Not to participate if having flu-like symptoms such as a fever of 37.5°C or higher, cough, or strong
sluggishness
- To wear a mask as long as possible
- To sanitize hands and fingers with the sanitizers placed on campus
- To practice cough etiquette and hand washing thoroughly
(2) Request the following people to refrain from participating the event.
- People who have travelled to/transit at the regions that are subject to entry refusal and border control by
Japanese government*, within 2 weeks before the event
- People who have closely contacted with COVID-19 infected individuals or patients (including suspected
cases), within 2 weeks before the event

(3) Request the people with the following conditions to refrain from participating the event.
- Senior citizens
- Having underlying disease such as diabetes, heart failure, and respiratory disease, or being on dialysis
- Under the treatment of immunosuppressant or anticancer agents, etc.
- Pregnant
(4) Events with unavoidable close contacts such as buffet-style party should be cancelled.
(5) Take note that this policy could be changed depending on the situation of COVID-19 expansion and cancellation of events could be requested.
(6) At the venue, sometimes open entrance doors and room windows for good ventilation, considering the size/airtightness of the rooms and crowdedness/length of time for the event.
Use of Kyutech facilities
Kyutech cannot accept the applications for the usage of the facilities for the time being, in order to prevent expansion of the infection.
