The Graduate School
of Life Science and Systems Engineering is located in
Wakamatsu Ward within the Kitakyushu Science and Research
Park. The campus can be reached by municipal bus service,
an eighteen-minute ride (15 minutes by car) from Orio
Station on the JR Kagoshima line just fifteen minutes
from the bullet train station at Kokura. The Wakamatsu
Campus was established in April 2001 within the Kitakyushu
Science and Research Park, which is adjacent to the University
of Occupational and Environmental Health and the Kyushu
Women's University. |
| Numerous
universities and businesses have established research
and academic facilities within the Park grounds including
the University of Kitakyushu, Waseda University, the GMD-Japan
Research Laboratory and the UK's Cranfield University
at Kitakyushu, and education and research activities are
carried out in cooperation with these institutions. |
