The Science Education Center was established in 2005. At this time a project called "Community-based, Scientific, and Experience-Based Educational Development" which was supported by the Program for Contemporary Educational Needs, was accepted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. The aim was to provide opportunities which have been offered for science education in our university. The main activities include the following:
- Having a "Junior Science School" which offers experience-based experimental classes that are targeted for elementary and junior high school students
- Hosting lecture presentations by invited instructors
- Providing science instructors to perform experiments as well as giving experienced-based classes as local elementary schools
- Performing experience-based educational learning classes which are conducted by Kyutech students for event such as "Junior Science School"
- Trial university classes and university tours, admission explanation, and experimental courses for high school students
- Collaboration, making presentations for exhibitions, interaction with high school students, and exchange events for educators
- Support programs and PR activities in science education
In addition, we have been continuously providing educational activities at Kyutech after completing the above project in March, 2009.
