Signing Ceremony with Egyptian research institution for satellite remote sensing

Update:2018.11.15

The delegates of National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Science (NARSS) headed by Chairman Dr. Mahmoud Hussein Mohamed Ahmed visited Kyutech on Friday, August 31, 2018. Kyutech and NARSS have concluded a cooperative research agreement (CRA) and a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for technical cooperation.

NARSS is a pioneering Egyptian institution in the field of satellite remote sensing. NARSS is an outgrowth of the Remote Sensing Center, established in 1971 as an American-Egyptian joint project and affiliated to the Egyptian Academy of Scientific Research and Technology. Kyutech and NARSS already concluded a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) on December 5, 2013.

Along with the signing ceremony, the delegates of NARSS paid a visit to Laboratory of Spacecraft Environment Interaction Engineering. Prof. Cho Mengu, the director of the laboratory, delivered a presentation about CubeSat testing and launching in more detail. They listened to it ardently and discussed the possibility of future cooperation between Kyutech and NARSS.

It is expected that an amicable relationship and mutual understanding between the two institutions will be developed further in the near future.
